Human beings spend so much of their daily earnings or skincare alone. Well why do they feel the need to spend hundreds on a bottle of anti-aging cream? The answer is that they are simply willing to go to any extent, in order to appear beautiful, with youthful skin. When scrolling through social media, we see many influencers using expensive skincare products and somehow we are persuaded to try the same products. Furthermore, we spend so much money on makeup to try and cover up our face, so again we can appear youthful. However, it doesn’t stop there.

 

   Many people are willing to try facials,  including some that involve the use of needles. These facials can cost up to $1,000, in the U.S. So, an expensive facial is the secret to beautiful and young looking skin for some. The reason people agree to spend so much money on things like facials, to appear youthful, is because often higher prices are associated with better quality. So people are persuaded to believe that they will get their money’s worth.

 

   There are also cheaper alternatives, including drugstore products. In the interviews conducted by us, it is clear that some people rely on simple creams and mists. They argue that these products cost a reasonable price and are usually effective in clearing up their skin . However, some also feel that if they were able to afford higher quality, expensive products, then they would have better looking skin.

   

   Additionally some people swear by natural remedies. Many people believe that youthful facial skin can easily be achieved at no cost. However, the cost isn’t necessarily associated with class. Infact, many people of higher class prefer natural remedies because there is a sense of safety since we know that our ancestors have grown up using natural remedies, and it has worked out for them.

 

  

   Moreover, there is evidence that those who are physically attractive according to beauty standards, those who have a youthful face, tend to have more confidence. This can result in more productivity and therefore, impact how much money they earn overall. However, those who are seen as more attractive can get paid more for simply that reason. For example, waiters at restaurants are more likely to earn tips, based off of their attractiveness. This is because facial attractiveness is often linked to a sense of friendliness and so those who are attractive are often easier to communicate with, which is one reason why youthful facial skin is preferred over wrinkly dry skin.

   In essence, there is no one true secret to receiving youthful facial skin, but it is clear that many people are not happy with what they have and want to do something to change it. From natural remedies to expensive facials, they are willing to do anything because want to live up to what is accepted by society as facial beauty. On top of that, people are persuaded by social media influencers who are seen as successful and many of them have simply built a career based on their facial attractiveness. Even people who don’t do anything to their faces, want to try something because it is practically seen as abnormal to not change or do anything to your face in this era.
